Fruit bats under siege on The Gold Coast

I work out doors on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. There are a few large colonies of fruit bats in the area. The past few weeks I have seen Bats flying around during the day in a confused manner. Or single bats trying to sleep in  trees which is unusual because they live in colonies.
A group of 1500 have moved in an area close to the Gold Coast Racetrack, where the horses are exercised.
Firstly some developer on the coast must have dozed down their habitat for these bats to move all over the Coast.
No one has come forward to take responsibility. Anybody got any info?
So as usual the innocent bats that have lived in this area for thousand of years are now under the sites of  race horse owners. They are being labeled the bad guys.
Fruit bats unfortunately carry a virus called The Hendra virus that can kill horses and people in contact with the infected  horse. It was never a problem until the Gold Coast council started a greedy land clearing building program. Ever day go to work I see more trees dozed and land cleared and I wonder where do the creatures go? The GCCC will tell you they plant  many trees, a .5 metre sapling is not the same as a 100 year old gum tree thats 80 feet high.
Bats are a protected species. But that will not necessarily protect them.

Answer:_ Find the developer  or company that cleared the trees the bats were living in and make the person or company pay for the safe and humane removal of the bats to a safe and comfortable area for them to live .Plus a hefty fine.  .

BEFORE some maverick decides to harm the bats

  1. Though animals cannot express their feelings like humans do, they do deserve a rightful place in this globe as humans and it is certainly inhumane to destroy their habitat or hunt hem. Animal lovers would undoubtedly like to air their feelings in websites like http://www.pkremovals.com.au
